Prerequisite: Senior standing, B.I.E.T. majors
Catalog Description: Working in groups, students undertake a complete project from specification through implementation and deployment.

Course Objectives

On completion of the course, students will have demonstrated the following knowledge or skills.

  1. The ability to carry out a complete IET project applying skills developed in the program
  2. The ability to work on a team
  3. The ability to do oral effective presentations .
  4. The ability to write technical reports and documents

Class Syllabus 

This is a project oriented course.  The project schedule will be developed  over the course of the term with completion by the end of the term.

Grading & Attendance Policy

The grade will be based on student work on the project and as a team member.  The major portion of the grade will be based on process documents and reports with the operation of the completed project accounting for a smaller portion of the final grade.  (Details to follow.)

Writing assignments will be submitted to TurnItIn.com, a plagiarism detection service, through Blackboard.  Material in your report that is quoted from or derived from another source must be appropriately identified and referenced with an appropriate citation.  Significant failure to follow these guidelines will result in a failing grade for the course and may lead to the filing of an Academic Irregularity report.
