Secure Telecommunication Networks
This is a Federal Earmark Project funded through DARPA in the amount of $2 million for the period 2004-06. Three FAU colleges (Engineering, Science, and Business) are involved in this activity. Eight projects have been identified - 4 in Engineering, 2 in Science, and 2 in Business.

Center for Coastline Security Technologies
This is a Federal Earmark Project funded through Department of Navy in the amount of 4.25 millions for the period 2004-06. The Center for Coastline Security Technologies focuses on research, simulation, and evaluation of coastal defense and marine domain awareness equipment, sensors, and components.

Motorola's Project - One Pass to Production
This is a long term project in its third year of funding, with a goal to enhance system design productivity by nearly 500 fold, so a new cell phone can be readied for prototyping in 24 hours after user requirements are received.

Supercluster for High Performance Computing
In this project, NSF provided the state-of-the art supercluster computer, which will be used in several interdisciplinary areas of research including parallel programming tools, video coding and processing, biometrics computing, experimental mathematics, computational physics, and human genome.

Publications
In 2004-05. faculty from the CSE Department have published total over 250 publications - 9 books, 70 journal papers, 160 conference papers, and 30 other publications, including book chapters. Refer to the CSE Research Brochure for details.
