About the Lab:
The Empirical Software Engineering Laboratory is both a
research organization and a facility at Florida Atlantic
University dedicated to empirical research in software
engineering. Empirical research based on real world data is a
necessary component for the advancement of software
engineering technology and practice.
Under the direction of Dr. Taghi M. Khoshgoftaar, faculty,
researchers, and graduate students conduct research projects
in cooperation with software development organizations in
industry and government. Typically, cooperating organizations
supply data from their software development efforts for
analysis in Laboratory projects. A close relationship between
academia and industry facilitates the transfer of technology
from research to common industrial practice.
