The Department of Computer Science and Engineering accepts freshmen and transfer students. Students should refer
to the general statements on admission to the College of Engineering and to the University requirements for
freshmen and for transfer students.
Students transferring from a Florida community college should have completed 60 lower division credits including the following courses:

* The number of credits varies among lower division institutions.
** Students are expected to take Fundamentals of Engineering during their freshman year. Students who enter the program with at least 30 credits and have not taken fundamentals of engineering or an equivalent course can instead elect to take software - hardware codesign (CEN 4214).
NOTE: A grade of C or better is required in all courses listed except any humanities or social science course that is not used to satisfy the Gordon Rule Writing requirement.
