Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
FAU’s bachelor of science degree with a major in computer science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). It will prepare you for advanced careers with companies that produce software, embedded systems, databases and applications for the web, the Internet, telecommunication networks and wireless networks. The students learn how to manage, engineer, develop, test and secure such systems. 120 total credits hours are required to complete this degree. |
Research
The Computer Science and Engineering department of FAU has faculty from top-notch universities. The faculty has a wide range of research interests including security, wireless, data mining, software engineering, telecommunications, parallel and distributed systems, embedded systems and VLSI. In 2003-04, CSE attracted $4.5 million in funded research from the public and private sectors. Motorola is the largest private research sponsor.
