Conclusions

Domain analysis of a complex system such as the District's water management system is an evolutionary process. This report is documents the domain model and will be updated throughout the different phases of the contract. The document was written in a manner that minimizes use of acronyms and explains the basic concepts simulated by the South Florida Water Management Model in simple terms so it is readable by persons new to the hydrology domain. The geography and special issues pertinent to South Florida have been described for those readers familiar with hydrology but requiring orientation to this region. Existing documentation of the model is organized by geographical and land use areas. This report reorganized the information by processes so that the designers of the new Regional Model could analyze commonalities, variations and inconsistencies, and exploit them in such a manner that minimizes redundant effort and maximizes reuse of concepts across organizational units.

This document will be formatted and organized as a hypertext document for viewing with a World Wide Web (WWW) browser, e.g. XMosaic or NetScape.
